As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
"A professional tennis player. On my bucket list is the opportunity to play tennis on the grass courts of the Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island."
What made you want to become an HR professional?
"I really wanted to be a journalist or work in advertising originally, but my career and skills lead me into HR. Now I hire and help create the culture for our marketers and writers."
What are three things you like most about MINDSCAPE?
"I work with smart, motivated people, I have impact on how/what we do at MINDSCAPE and everyday is different...including my work schedule."
What's your education background?
"I’ve got several degrees and letters that go after my name, but what’s more important than my educational background is my impact on students at MINDSCAPE as we showcase our environment/team for local high school/college students and educators. In addition, I have lots of impact on my Davenport University students as a management/marketing instructor, sharing my MINDSCAPE stories. It’s really rewarding!"
What do you do for fun?
"I love to do and go lots of places - my kids like that about me too. Besides the 5-6 trips/year to visit my family in Wisconsin, I’m often traveling to other places in Michigan to watch my two boys, Nate and Nolan, play hockey. And we even find time to visit other spots in the U.S. I make every travel adventure a learning opportunity for my kids (they love this less about me). I also run, bike, do yoga and find many ways to keep myself healthy, including the fresh basil I grow in my office."
