As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
"A pilot. Then I realized I get severe motion sickness."
What made you want to become a developer?
"I wanted to become a developer from a very early age because I saw the endless possibilities that could be pursued with software. The appeal of creating something that could change the world from knowledge and programming alone is a strong one."
What are three things you like most about MINDSCAPE?
- "The best thing by far is the people who work here. The support, skills, talent and just plain coolness of this group of people makes it a great place to work."
- "The work is challenging and rewarding. The clientele brought in and the problems we are asked to solve make everyday very satisfying."
- "The culture. The respect and freedom us developers are given by management is so refreshing. We know what needs to be done and we work our butts off getting it done as a team. Ideas and improvements are welcomed with open arms making collaboration enjoyable."
What attracted you to MINDSCAPE?
"Two things. Both Mindscape and Hanon McKendry are well regarded in the community, so I wanted to see what they were all about. And after my initial meeting with several people who already worked here, the chemistry just worked. It was like I’ve known them for years."
What's rewarding about working with MINDSCAPE?
"I love what I do, and I love being surrounded by others that love what they do. All of us are better at some things more than others, and it’s great to come together and learn from each other."
What do you do for fun?
"I read. A lot. I soak up an enormous amount of non-fiction: lots of coding, artificial intelligence, architecture, aviation history and anything else that I find interesting. I’ll sprinkle in some science fiction now and then as well."
If you could say anything to the person reading this, what would it be?
"We eat, breathe and sleep web applications and enjoy delivering engaging websites for whatever it is you have in mind. Talk to us and lets go places."
