As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
"My hero as a child was a man by the name of Michael Jordan. I was always one of the tallest children and so as any good father would with a tall son would do, he introduced me to the game of basketball. With my love for the famed Mr. 23 and my God-given height, I wanted to become an NBA All-Star. I was well on my way and then I heard about MINDSCAPE. The choice was obvious...I picked MINDSCAPE."
What attracted you to MINDSCAPE?
"Initially, I was attracted to MINDSCAPE for the culture. It seemed so different from anywhere else I had ever been. Since people create culture, the people drew me into working in such a great atmosphere."
What are three things you like most about MINDSCAPE?
"The three things I like the most about working with MINDSCAPE, besides Pete Brand of course: the people, the culture, the work.
How do you typically spend your 4-day weekends?
"The great thing about four days is that you have so much time. The better question is: What can’t you do on a 4-day weekend? But I spend most of my 4-day weekends relaxing, reading, eating, not working and usually serving at church on Sundays. Once and a while, I’ll head up to Northern Michigan, down to Indianapolis or head over to the Windy City to spend a couple of relaxing days away from home. I can honestly say that I am still learning how to take full advantage of all this time."
What do you do for fun?
"I absolutely love my family. Hanging out with them is one of my favorite things to do. I have been blessed with such great and genuine friendships. I am also very involved at the Point Church who has a wonderful and dynamic community. I am a big fan of what I call food and fellowship. I love getting together with people over some good food to have good conversation. Something else I do quite often is reading. I love reading biographies, classic literature, history and the good book. I also enjoy playing basketball in a church league. Once and a while, I will get my creative side out and I will paint or draw. If I am not doing any of those things I will be daydreaming of one day going back to Africa."
If you could say anything to the person reading this, what would it be?
"Give MINDSCAPE a chance. Integrity is the word I would use for the way we work and the way we communicate. Excellence is the word I would use to describe the quality of work we do and the quality of results we get."
